MOD’s Accelerated Job Losses – Is the UK Government Risking Its Support to the Frontline Forces?

The Ministry of Defence in the UK has doubled the number of redundancies for this year. The MOD says that the accelerated plot is due to higher than the expected capture-up on the voluntary redundancies. While MOD says that this will aid reach its 3 year redundancies targets quicker, the unions and some of the front border staff criticise this action of MOD as they dread that this could impact the capability of essential support services to the front border.
